Time does not bring relief; you all have lied Who told me time would ease me of my pain! I miss him in the weeping of the rain; I want him at the shrinking of the tide; The old snows melt from every mountain-side And last year's leaves are smoke in every lane; But last year's bitter loving must remain Heaped on my heart and my old thoughts abide! There are a hundred places where I fear To go -- so with his memory they brim! And entering with relief some quiet place Where never fell his foot or shone his face I say "There is no memory of him here!" And so stand stricken so remembering him!

I lost my middle son in a car accident on 4/09/2010, a week after he had completed his matric prelims. Our lives will never be the same. But we have to carry on for the sake of our surviving children. My marriage is failing which is like dealing with another death. I also wonder why we are given such devastating things to deal with in life.
Vandag is dit 4 jaar. Hoelank voel dit net nie, 4 jaar terug het ek jou stem jou lag jou vas gehou. Miss you my pop. Love you always. Mommy
I lost Daniel on the 08.12.2010 in a car accident on the road between Steytlerville and Willowmore in the Eastern Cape. He was alone and it was in the afternoon. We will never know what happened, as their were brake marks but no sign of anything else. He was such an amazing young man, and we all miss him every day. It might be 3 years, but the missing and loving will never go away. I read something quite apt the other day. It said; "Life is broken thing, it is what you do with the pieces that define you." I like to think that Danny would want me to be happy and to enjoy my life. I am trying, but I am not there yet. My heart is still broken.....
Hi Sandy, thank you for these true words. Keep wel.
Thought you might appreciate this poem by Henry van Dyke.
Time is too slow for those that wait
Too swift for those that fear
Too long for those that grieve
Too short for those that rejoice
But for those that love, Time is eternity
Hi Wilma,I remember seeing the accident on the news and was heartbroken when I saw it in the papers the next day. So very sad and nothing will console you at this stage. I sometimes wonder why we put through such heartache. My thoughts are with you and your family during this very difficult time. If you feel like you need to scream or shout just click on my name and let rip I will understand and wont judge believe I have been there. Take care xxxxxx
I lost my 11 year old son on 3rd July 2012 in a horrific car accident. We were coming back from a lovely weekend in the Drakensberg with friends. He was travelling in my friends car (with the father and his 11 year old friend). A truck lost control on the highway and took out 18 cars, it landed on top of their car and killed all three of them instantly.
